Grid-Iron is a free, browser-based online American football game. It started in 2008, and currently the 8th season is running. It's an European-made game, so the competition format is more likely to soccer. There are leagues, with 10 teams in each one. In every region, at the top level, there are one league. At the second level, there are 3 leagues, at the 3rd level, there are 27 leagues, and so on... The World is divided to 9 regions: North America, Central- and South America, Central Europe, Atlantic & Scandinavian Europe, Eastern Europe, Europe - Balkan Region, Asia, Africa & Arab Peninsula nad Oceania. The top teams of every region play in the world league, called American Football League of Champions (AFLC). There are also cup and national team matches. In every league, every team plays against every team twice. You can train, buy and sell players and staff, manage the club infrastructure. You can set up detailed tactics to matches.

Grid-Iron is an American Football simulation game where you take charge of a small team with only a bunch of local players, start-up finances and basic facilities. Your goal is to bring glory and fame to that club and ultimately win the American Football League of Champions (AFLC). This is not an easy task though, and you will have to do your best in order to utilize your marketing and tactical skills (in competition with many other keen managers around the Globe).
The game has no ending as such, and it is played in one big Grid-Iron world, so all the results, competition standings, promotion/relegation and other records are passed from one season to another, and all the managers are playing against each other."
